Joana Carvalho is a Portugese product designer who has come up with this gorgeous design for a biodegradable coffee cup. Its functions. lts form looks like something thats come straight off a scene from StarWars which I love! and its form before construction that looks like an old skool kids plastic construction kit is super cute.
"The Kit for Coffee made from biopolymer non-polluting, biodegradable, produced with minimal resources through a single injection mould that contains all the essential features: spoon, cup and saucer.
The shape was inspired by the plastic model kits, due to the fact that they have a low production cost, since all the pieces are made at the same time.
The packaging is also an object itself, needs no other props or wasting more resources.
It is stackable too. The kit can simply be placed on the ground / in compost after use." -Joana Carvalho
