Yesterday my bestfriend and I braved the cold February weather and possibility of a slight snowstorm and headed to Shoreditch to celebrate turning 30. One of my favourite shops to frequent whilst there is Hurwendeki A beautifully unique fashion and lifestyle boutique (well tiny franchise). An independent company, founded in 2004 by Kichul Lee comprising of a fashion boutique and hair salon and second outlet as a café also based in East London which opened in 2009. Hurwundeki has a satellite office in Seoul, South Korea. They sell classic chic and simple attire. Their choice of materials is of the utmost importance and essential to providing the excellent quality they're known for. As we neared it, I notice that the name had been taken down so went in to investigate...
It also has an eatery based in East London, which is super cute!
The wonderful shop had changed ownership! and was now Topman’s latest concept, the Topman General Store.
You can find it located near the corner of BrickLane in Shoreditch's Commercial Street. Unlike the normal Topman Topshop we’re used to it almost feels like it has taken direct inspiration from its previous owners. The ground and basement floors are minimally stripped back to bare walls and stripped floors. Beautiful 'AllSaints-like interior pieces are displayed amongst the clothing giving the shopper more refined shopping experience.
They also supply an impressive collection of photography books, vintage furniture and a few bits and pieces from other carefully chosen brands; Pendleton, Norsea Industries and Percival to name a few and limited-edition Rite in the Rain notebooks stationery.
The carefully curated collections from the Topshop ‘Design’ and ‘LTD’ ranges are offered the opportunity to stand out in this environment. The store is curated by the TS Brand Design Director Gordon Richardson and the Creative Director of B-Store, Matthew Murphy.
