I like films. I like linking things too and I really like 6 degrees of separation as one of those weird and wonderful, yet slightly creepy wonders of life. So this poster/ graph/art is perfect for someone like me.

Dorathy aka : Ali, Phil, Jim and Tich are designers who all had a previous life working in advertising before going "AWOL in 2010 to work on their own ideas under the monocle of Dorothy". Based in London, they now design prints, products and artworks that are sold and exhibited internationally.

This is 'The Golden Age' version of their Hollywood Star Chart features constellations named after culturally significant films from 1927 - 1960's. The stars that make up the clusters are the Hollywood stars that appeared in them - get the drift?...
Cleverly, the chart is based on the night sky over Los Angeles on October 6th 1927 - the release date of Al Jolson's 'The Jazz Singer', the first feature-length motion picture with synchronized dialogue which heralded a new era for cinema and the decline of the silent film. Films include King Kong, The Wizard of Oz, It's a Wonderful Life, Gone with the Wind, Casablanca and Rebel without a Cause. Amazing don't you think? - Well done lads!
