Ready, Set, Go Here!

Communion is a music outlet based at London’s Notting Hill Arts Club. The monthly event has welcomed and presented us with the latest folky-esk music talent, right at their beginnings. Ace artists like Noah and the Whale, Laura Marling, Mumford and Sons, JJ Pistolet and Peggy Sue have all played out their music debuts with Communion.
It began in West London but now has branched out across the UK to Brighton, Bristol, Leeds, York, Oxford, Dublin and Belfast, and internationally to Sydney and New York City.
It was founded by three clever men; Ben Lovett (Mumford and Sons), former Cherbourg bassist Kevin Jones, and acclaimed producer Ian Grimble in 2006, it quickly grew into a flourishing community of musicians and fans alike, providing a first independent platform for the freshest young artists on London’s circuit and beyond."-http://www.communionmusic.co.uk/about/

They are now closely linked to SXSW, The Camden Crawl, HMV’s Next Big Thing series and The NME awards.
Check their site and follow their twitter for some really awesome nights out in 2011!

  1. Join the Communion community at the next show in Shepherd's Bush. Come and see The Agitator and Three Blind Wolves who will be celebrating the release of their EP ‘Sound of the Storm’ out on Communion Records. It’s our first release of 2011 and it’s a seriously brilliant record, eclipsed only by what an amazing live band they are. They are destined for very big things!
