34 year old Sigga Bjorg Sigurdardottir was born in Rekyjavik Iceland and seems to flit and fly all over the place, collaborating with other wonderful artists doing wonderfully crazy exhibition installations. But strangely enough is currently residing upon our shores in Glasgow where she also studied between 2002-2004 at the Glasgow School of Art (...sigh)
Inspired by her homeland and its folklore of impish trolls and magic she is inspired by both the horror and beauty of life, people and situations. She uses the erratic and contrasting nature of our state of mind tas a catalyst for her work, where one can see beauty and another the horror. When we laugh instead of scream or cry.
