After a late night out on the tiles I settled amongst cushions to watch some late night music. Suddenly my slumber was interrupted by the rocking sounds of KASSIDY. The Glaswegian Band members have more hair than a 70's beehive convention but don't befooled by their old skool Magic Numbers Threads, they are much more of the Old Skool Kings of Leon ilk and are certainly just as entertaining. Barrie-James O'Neill, Hamish Fingland, Lewis Andrew and Chris Potter for the band.
Their sound is hard to describe, mainly because every song sounds different to the one before but held together by the great collaborative vocals, led by Barrie-James. They're funk, rock, acoustic, country and bluesy with certainly a wee bit of celtic folk shindiggery going on too. It certainly makes you want to shake the dust up beneath your boots, however you want to describe them! Their album Hope St. is now available at HMV for 7.99 and I've already heard one of their amazing tunes already playing on a UK ad. There are only great things laying ahead for these guys!
