Pick Me Up has been running for two years now and after experiencing their incredible show last year, where I got to meet Rob Ryan - My idol at the time and getting him to sign my special black and white screen printed teatowel - EEK! I simply had to pledge to make it every year it runs. It's UK’s first contemporary graphic art fair. It lives at Somerset House on The Embankment. It plays host to the latest, best, most innovative and avant-garde graphic artists, collectives and galleries from the UK and across the world. This year there were 24 graphic designers and illustrators showcasing their work in a the exhibition. There were also other artists such as Evening Tweed and The Print ClubThe work is exhibited and for sale and generally starts from £20 -An exclusive new print for the show commissioned by Somerset House created by each main gallery artist. There are also artist installations where you can watch the artists while they work and on two nights worked whilst inspired by live music. These nights were called 'Heavy Pencil' and are worth trying to go to for the extra experience! This years special guest artist holding an open studio was designer Anthony Burrill.I bought a Paul Blow that will soon be winging its way to me in the post by Paul Blow, Other amazing artists included:Paul Blow, Jessica Hische, Jules Julien, Kate Moross, Puck
