ESSENTIAL LIVING BY MAKE AND MATTER

Essentially Beautiful pack design by Make and Matter

Make and Matter have designed a beautiful packaging range for 'essential living' They belief design is best when its simple, honest and human. They work with their heart, ambition and purpose and strive to turn heads with their work and connect with the consumer. I also loved their work for 'epic and 'plan tea'.

Essential Living foods believe in transforming human health and lifestyles for the better by providing the high quality, nutritious, ecologically sound and sought-after superfoods in the world. "You’ll find foods here that surpass anything else available in quality, nutrition, and purity. In a world full of dangerous unknowns, it’s good to have a health partner you can trust." -words taken from Essential Living's website

They also have strong production ethics and believe in "improving the health of the planet, its people, and their communities." They work closely with small farms and believe that they and all businesses need to have a positive impact on the world, using the power of commerce to improve lives, communities, and ecosystems. I love that its more and more common to find companies with deep rooted and strong, yet sensitive ethics. I wish them every success.
The packaging has a lovely balance of hand drawn natural ingredients which give them great natural cues and equity in goodness and wholesome ingredients and sourcing and bright, strong colours and a contemporary typeface lifts the drawings into a modern pack for a young, hip, educated audience who would be willing to pay for a more premium, thoughtful product.
Make & Matter was founded on a simple philosophy - to make (design) and to matter (to clients and their success).  -words taken from Make and Matter's website

They design in a lot of different formats, from logos to brochures, packaging to websites and everything in between. I really respect their digital work and am pretty inspired by it. They have won awards and been published in a lot of sources and by the looks of things, it's totally deserved.
