I first saw Jimbob's Art when I was at a Brixton pop-up art fair called 'The Crafty Fox Market' in 2013. A friend took me their to get herself some beautiful prints, Brixton has many illustrators and artists selling unique prints but it was an opportunity to see some fresh blood so we went along. I'm a fan of quirky art that makes my smile curl, so Jimbob was right up my street. A few weeks later I discovered him at the SouthBank Centre's design shop. He seems to be going from strength to strength, if you like illustrations of animals dressed in human clothes with a dash of Mexican thrown in for good measure, this guy's for you.
Jimbobart is London-based designer James Ward. From his studio and shop on Columbia Road in East London, he creates a range of ceramics and illustrations centring on his expressive animal drawings. As well as his own shop, Jimbobart products and artwork is stocked in stores in the UK and Internationally, including London's Liberty and Southbank Centre Shop and Franck et Fils in Paris. As a commercial illustrator, he has been commissioned by Lacoste, Moleskine and Etsy. Jimbobart has featured in National newspapers and magazines including the Guardian, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph and Country Living, as well as numerous design magazines.
